Saranac introduces, L'il Hazy a sessionable, hazy IPA with great taste and a low ABV
You know the old saying: "it takes a village," in our case, it takes a brewery. It's not just the brewers who make an IPA this good, it's everyone. Warehouse and packaging operators, maintenance technicians and tradespersons, industrial cleaners and transport drivers. They're made for the trade and together they put out world-class beers.
Brewed with 100% New York grown Cascade, Nugget and Chinook hops, Hopstate NY pours a light copper to medium amber hue with a persistent white head and incredible lacing. The taste is of citrus and tangerine with a slight pine resin presence and the bitterness is moderate. The finish is a pleasantly lingering resinous hop finish with a touch of sweet malt.
This IPA has no hops added during the boil. The amazing trio of Citra, Mosaic and El Dorado added during the mash, whirlpool and dry-hopped in fermentation bring out the most hop flavor possible while reducing bitterness.
We started dry-hopping, and it snowballed into a full-on Powder Day. Notes of citrus, stone fruit, and melon pile high in a blizzard of lupulin powder.
