With notes of rich chocolate and coffee, a luscious creaminess and a roasted finish, Black Butte Porter doesn’t only have fans…it has followers. Tastings, pairings, atherings—there’s nothing this bold classic can’t do.
We set out to create a bold, complex beer that tastes like raspberries and chocolate. This rich ale is the result. We artfully blended six different malts to achieve deep cocoa flavor. Over a pound of raspberries per gallon were added to the young beer to provide fresh, bright fruit character. Complex malt and fruit, but simply delicious.
A unique and unprecedented “red” twist on a porter, Red Velvet Porter presents notes of cocoa, rich chocolate, toffee, and deep caramel sweetness, vanilla, and a hint of frosting alongside an alluring, and brilliant garnet presentation. Red Velvet Porter showcases the range and special qualities of malts categorized as “Caramel & Crystal”, all while maintaing a high level of drinkability. Restrained additions of 100% Pure Bourbon Vanilla Extract, and natural flavorings add the perfect accent, creating the fantasy of lush red velvet cake.
