Saranac's 1888 Octoberfest is a true Octoberfest brewed with German hops, Perle and Saphir. This recipe has been with the Matt family for 4 generations. When FX Matt founded the company, he made it a point to only allow English to be spoken at the brewery. In his honor, we forgo the traditional German spelling of "Oktoberfest" and use the English spelling.
