In 1810, the Oktoberfest tradition was born when Munich celebrated the Crown Princes wedding with a special beer and 16-day party. Our version of this classic style blends hearty malts for a deep, smooth flavor with notes of caramel, creating a brew that’s perfect for the season, or whatever you're celebrating.

Complex and balanced, with a beautiful hop aroma. This deep amber to golden colored full bodied lager displays caramel sweet notes balanced with distinct citrus and piney notes. A strong, smooth finish and mouth feel.

Saranac's 1888 Octoberfest is a true Octoberfest brewed with German hops, Perle and Saphir. This recipe has been with the Matt family for 4 generations. When FX Matt founded the company, he made it a point to only allow English to be spoken at the brewery. In his honor, we forgo the traditional German spelling of "Oktoberfest" and use the English spelling.

Brooklyn Winter Lager is our answer to the heavy ales and stouts that emerge in wintertime. Though dark in color with a sturdy presence, our Schwarzbier-inspired lager layers notes of chocolate, roasted barley, and dark bread into a 5.6% ABV frame that finishes surprisingly light and pleasantly dry. Winter means different things depending where you live, but Brooklyn Winter Lager is ready for any chill.
