Remember the Past, Celebrate the Present
Thank you for making Sempre Ricordare part of your family. I invite you to click on the tracks below to hear one of my family’s most cherished memories: the soothing sounds of my father, Carmine DeCrescente Sr., playing his clarinet. About this wine
Due Uve
Sempre Ricordare is a Due Uve, or two grape wine. The 2018 vintage is made with 85% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes and 15% Sangiovese grapes. It is 14% ABV.
As our winemaker Giacomo Fossati discusses in the video above, this is a full-bodied “Super Tuscan” wine aged in French barrique. Its grapes are grown on 80 acres of vineyard at the Azienda Uggiano Winery in the Chianti Mountains in Florence, Italy.
About the Label
Our label is meant to evoke feelings of family and friends coming together. It’s why each vintage of Sempre Ricordare features a different picture of one of our favorite family moments. This year’s vintage celebrates my father, Carmine DeCrescente Sr., with a photograph of him playing his clarinet. He played with the Carmine DeCrescente trio for over 30 years. The group provided entertainment for hundreds of weddings, anniversaries, and special events.
Tasting Notes
The 2018 vintage is a complex, full-bodied wine. It has intense aromas of blackberry, blueberry and clove with vanilla that cuts through. On the palate, the wine is velvety with soft tannins that produce an elegant structure.
Food Pairing
