Bardstown Bourbon Co. continues to push boundaries of flavor through global collaboration. This second partnership with Ferrand sees Kentucky straight whiskey finished 15 months in Maison Ferrand Cognac barrels, merging American character with French refinement. The result is a layered, limited-edition release that reflects the craftsmanship and creativity at the heart of both houses.

Nearest Green was the first known African-American Master Distiller. Affectionately nicknamed Uncle Nearest by his friends and family in Lynchburg, Tenn., Nearest is credited with helping perfect the globally recognized Lincoln County Process, which is the only thing that distinguishes Kentucky Bourbon from Tennessee Whiskey (other than geography). This unique filtering of bourbon through sugar maple charcoal was named after the county where Nearest lived and made whiskey.

Aged onsite at some of the oldest warehouses in the state, this 90 proof whiskey is rich in color with a golden-amber hue. Green River is made with locally sourced corn featuring a mashbill of 70% corn, 21% winter rye and 9% malted barley. The higher rye content contributes warming spice notes on the nose and palate.
