“Pilsner” is a term that’s been misused by industrial brewers for so long that many have forgotten how fun and flavorful this style of lager can be. Forge Ahead pays homage to ancestral pilsners with its all-malt foundation but adds the twist of modern American hops, yielding bright, focused citrus notes. The finish is dry and crisp, with a balanced bitterness that invites another sip.

Crisp and clean Pilsner with a "pinch" of herbal bitterness from German Noble hops. Well balanced with a light toast and discreet honey backbone, accompanied by the perfect amount of dryness to keep you chasing sips.

Citra-Pils is our special twist on the classic pilsener style of lager beer. We brew this lager in the most traditional way, using only light pils malt and Saaz hops. After a six-week lagering process, we dry hop this beer with a blend that includes Citra hops along with the Saaz. The bright lemony citrus notes of the Citra complement the noble Saaz character perfectly, yielding a delightfully refreshing pilsener with a decidedly nontraditional twist.
