It's known for its hazy appearance and juicy, citrusy, and tropical fruit flavors. The beer is made with pale and C80 malts, oats, and wheat, and features Cascade, Centennial, Citra, Nugget, and Simcoe hops. It's a popular choice for those who enjoy a hoppy, yet smooth and easy-drinking IPA.
District 6 IPA is brewed in the West Coast style, leaving it light in color with a slightly sweet malt profile and focusing mostly on the hop character. The spiciness of the Columbus Hops are blended with the piney, floral character of the Chinook and finished with the citrus and grapefruit provided by Centennial.
Northern Hemisphere was the first wet hop ale and it inspired the wet hop craze here in America. Wet-undried-hops go straight from the fields into our kettles within 24 hours. Because hops are incredibly perishable, using hops wet preserves all of the precious oils and resins for a unique drinking experience as evidenced by the intense herbal green flavors and citrus-like and floral aromas. Northern Hemisphere is part of our five-bottle Harvest series which features single hop, fresh hop, wet hop, and wild hop beers.
