The mountain village of Lake Placid was once home to a legendary chocolate lab named Ubu, the biggest dog you`ve ever seen with an uncanny nose for great beer. Deep garnet red in color, this American Brown Ale is a tribute to the legend of Ubu.

An American brown ale that really kicks ass, with a balance of hop and malt character. The aroma and flavor are hop forward (Polaris, Cascade and Crystal), but rich Munich malt more than balances.

Like the character that inspired it, this spiced ale is warm, festive, and worthy of a celebration all its own. Its full body accompanies a deep malt character, with notes of sweet toffee and rich, dark caramel.
