Albany County
- The Alive at Five free concert series runs on Thursdays from June 8 to August 3, except June 29, from 4:30-8 p.m. Distinguished national, regional, and local artists bring their best performances to Jennings Landing in Albany.
- Canal Square on Remsen St. in Cohoes hosts Rock the Block. with an awesome lineup of free concerts on Thursday evenings from June 15 through August 3 from 6:30-8:30 pm.
- The Capital Concert Series returns to the Empire State Plaza with an award-winning lineup of free entertainment: Wednesdays July 12, July 19, July 26 and August 2 from 5:30-8:30 pm.
Greene County
- Every Wednesday starting June 7th, the Coxsackie waterfront will host the Rocksackie Concert Series, complete with a farmer’s market and food and drink specials at neighboring businesses like the new Patrick Henry’s waterfront tavern.
Montgomery County
- Catch some of the best college baseball players in the state with the Amsterdam Mohawks from now through July 29 in ballparks around the area. Some of these players may be seen in the MLB someday!
Rensselaer County
- Held at Riverfront Park in Troy, Rockin’ On The River on Wednesdays from 5:30-8:30pm starting June 28. Some great free music & local vendors!
- Watch the Tri-City ValleyCats in action at Joe Bruno Stadium in Troy where there are always fun events & promotions to keep the kids engaged while going easy on your wallet.
- Labor Day weekend Aug 30-Sept. 4, in its 203rd year, The Schaghticoke Fair is a showcase of buildings bursting with food, animals and crafts, all perfect for family members of all ages. Add to that some great entertainment in the park and on the grandstand for your listening pleasure.
Warren County
- Enjoy the fun at The Great Escape, NY’s most thrilling theme park & water park! Open daily all summer through Last Scare Weekend at the end of October!
- ADK Independence Music Festival, Lake George’s biggest party of the year! September 1-3 at Charles R. Wood Park. 3-day multi-band event & an amazing atmosphere runs till 11pm with the circuits’ finest food, beer & wine selection vendors!
Saratoga County
- Lots of time to catch the 155th meet at Saratoga Race Course, running through Labor Day, Sept. 4, highlighted by the Travers on August 26!
- There’s simply no place like Saratoga Performing Arts Center for its fabulous programming of classical music & dance, jazz, pop and rock and country! This summer’s lineup is fabulous… check out their website for events!
Schenectady County
- Harbor Jam at Mohawk Harbor Amphitheater at Rivers Casino & Resort in Schenectady returns with free live music Saturday & Sunday, July 29-30 from 6-9 pm. Check out their super lineup on their website. Sunday’s concert will be followed by a special fireworks show!
Washington County
- Washington County Fair August 21-27 is New York’s #1 Agricultural County Fair for more than a century. Come celebrate the great agricultural traditions right in the heart of Greenwich.
Schoharie County
- A Fair to Remember, the Schoharie County Sunshine Fair runs from August 8-13. Daily admission prices include unlimited midway rides, all grandstand shows & fairground attractions & free parking on grounds!
