We’re pumped to announce DeCrescente Distributing Company has been named one of the Capital Region’s healthiest employers for the third consecutive year!

DDC was selected for the recently announced 2022 Healthiest Employers in the Capital Region list. This marks the third consecutive year we have been recognized for prioritizing the health and well-being of our more than 400 employees and their families.

The health and wellness of our employees and their families is a priority here,” said DDC General Manager Russ Teplitzky. “We know that an employee’s physical and mental health contributes to their happiness and productivity.  In today’s world, it could not be more important to provide the tools and environment for our employees to live a healthy and happy life.”

We proudly offer an on-campus wellness center that provides medical care and physical therapy to employees, their spouses, and dependents at no cost.

Employees and their families also have complimentary access to our state-of-the-art fitness center equipped with treadmills, ellipticals, weights, and more.

DDC offers health insurance premium discounts to employees and their spouses for completing annual health risk assessments and for refraining from using tobacco/nicotine.

Employees who opt into our CDPHP health care plan get access to aptihealth, an app-based online mental health care platform. An Employee Assistance Program offering additional free mental health services for employees and their loved ones is also available and is administered by Human Resource Associates in Albany.

In addition to these services, DDC regularly schedules culture-building social events for its employees, including a recent family night at Six Flags Great Escape. Just this week, the company celebrated its busy summer season and the company’s 74th anniversary by making pizzas and salads on-site for all employees.

The 2022 Healthiest Employers of the Capital Region list recognizes “people-first organizations” that prioritize the health and wellness of their teams, including increased flexibility during the COVID-19 pandemic, work-life balance, and mental health resources.

Award recipients were evaluated in six categories: Culture & Leadership, Foundational Components, Strategic Planning, Communication & Marketing, Programming & Interventions, and Reporting & Analytics.

The survey is scored and powered by Springbuk, a health intelligence platform that simplifies data driven decision making with an intuitive user experience, predictive modeling, and curated action steps.
