Ed Keis

Chief Financial Officer

Joined DDC in 1994

Ed is the Chief Financial Officer for DeCrescente Distributing Company. Ed’s responsibilities include the financial, tax, estate planning, banking, legal, acquisitions, lobbying, risk management and workers compensation areas for DDC and other related entities.

Prior to DDC, Ed started with the International Accounting firm KPMG in 1971, progressing to Manager of the Private Business Department. After 10 years in Public Accounting in Buffalo, Ed returned to Albany as VP of Finance and owner of Keis Distributors, an Albany Miller/Heineken Distributor. Keis sold its operations to DDC in 1994.

Ed is past Chairman and current Treasurer of the NYS Beer Wholesalers Association and on the board of the Global Foundry- Stillwater Foundation. He has served as the President of Summit Insurance, Ltd., and is founder and facilitator of the Summit Best Practices sessions. Ed represents Summit as Chairman of the Audit Committee of the Board of the Captive Investors Fund that manages investments of over $5 billion in insurance reserves.

Outside of work, Ed and Mary Anne, his wife of 47 years, enjoy spending free time at their ocean home in Gloucester.

Ed holds a BS in Accounting from Canisius College, NYS CPA and earned an MBA in Finance from Canisius and State University of NY at Buffalo.
