Night Merchandiser

Summary

The Night Merchandiser is responsible for stocking coolers and shelves neatly with product, constructing and maintaining product displays, and accurately pricing and rotating product. The FT Night Merchandiser will record accurate daily account activity through usage of a company- issued Palm Pilot. Night Merchandisers are eligible for a weekly gas reimbursement for using their own vehicle. We also provide weekly expense for use of personal cell phone for business purposes. This position will be required to maintain proper administrative work to be submitted on a weekly basis. Other activities include: pricing proper displays, maintaining assigned marketing material (i.e. base wrap, brand signage, etc.) and taking care of damaged product in assigned accounts. This position will also be responsible for maintaining professional and collaborative relationships at store level. The shift hours are 10:00pm-8:00am. All routes are paid time and one half for overtime. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2 years general employment or equivalent combination of experience and education
  • 1 year sales or merchandising related work experience
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Proficient in technology
  • Strong interpersonal and listening skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to problem solve with minimal supervision
  • Valid Driver’s License with a satisfactory driving record

Night Warehouse Selector

The Night Warehouse Selector is responsible for the safe and accurate selection and palletizing of product for route trucks utilizing a “Pick by Voice” System. The Summer Night Warehouse Selector will retrieve product from the pick area and prepare for delivery. This position will be responsible for checking breakage and maintaining housekeeping standards. Candidates will also be eligible for the nightly incentive program in addition to their base pay.

Wine and Spirits Specialist

The Wine and Spirits Specialist is responsible for making account calls in on-premise retail accounts and liquor stores. The Specialist will also be the point person for ensuring that all programs, promotions and events are communicated to the retailer, sales representative and direct supervisor. The Specialist will establish new business relationships and maintain existing business relationships, all while adhering to DeCrescente standards, procedures and policies. The Specialist will also consult customers on products to sell relative to consumer demand and perform merchandising activities as needed to maintain on/off premise standards as well as, promoting and selling the assigned portfolio of products and services not limited to Wine, Spirits, Specialty Soda, Water, Bag in Box (BIB), Gas and Line Cleaning.

Requirements:

  • Must have a 4 year Associate or Bachelor Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field. The alternative requirement is High School Diploma and 2-4 years related sales experience may be substituted for degree.
  • Preferred minimum of 1 year experience in the Wine and Spirits Industry
  • Ability to sell programs or brands in retail environment
  • Ability to cater to targeted consumers
  • Ability to make effective presentations
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Strong interpersonal and listening skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to problem solve with minimal supervision
  • Proficiency with various workplace computer technology and software including Microsoft Office
